The In-Between Advantage

I grew up in Jeddah speaking English more easily than Arabic. Later, in Canada, people saw me as Saudi; back home, I was often the Canadian. The book follows that in-between life through social work, building Diggn’It, and returning to a changing Saudi with my family.

I wanted the freedom to build a life on my own terms. Running a business taught me how much that freedom depends on other people and on the everyday work of keeping things going.

AI enters through that work: customer support, marketing, and the systems our team needed to run the business. I had to learn unfamiliar tools while deciding which parts still needed my judgment.
